Just come back from a photo shoot with photographer Molly Matcham (very talented), first we went for coffee and cake at the Hub and then to an area of land named by the locals as ‘the jack’ probably because of its industrial mining heritage; I liken it to the surface of Mars or some barren planet but also having fabulous richness of textures and colours, a photographers/ painters dream!
Big black giant rocks, clinker sculptures on the landscape with the beck passing through…swallows, curlews and lapwing (they sound like ray guns) overhead…. sun, wind and rabbits, oh I forgot to mention when I’m walking through with my dog that it looks like watership down, quite amazing!
Molly and I are planning to do some videos/podcasts which is very exciting, will say more about this at a later date.
